Last night I watched Chrissie Hynde sing the Dylan song "Tomorrows a long time" on a Sky programme and immediately thought " Doesn't the world listen to Chris Simpson and Tom Hoy of Magna Carta". THATS REAL MUSIC!! Thanks to you both for being.

On this day (March 3rd) in 1971 Magna Carta played Manchester's Free Trade Hall. Half a century ago! Further details in my new book, Were You There? Popular Music At Manchester's Free Trade Hall 1951-1996 (Empire Publications)

So sorry to hear the passing of Andrew. My deepest condolences to his family and to the sadness that has fallen upon Chris and the band. I remember fondly his narrations at several Grassington festivals. A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.

Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your dear friend Andrew. Many times I have been magically transported to find my feet and heart firmly on the soil and heather of the Dales by that voice as I listen to Fields of Eden...in fact it plays as I type. I extend warm, loving hugs to you both and to Andrewโs family and friends. I find I share tears with you in a great loss. I am sorry I missed the privilege and honour of meeting the man but feel a certain kinship through your Music and stories. I can only hope your many fond memories and joyous times spent together laughing and sharing tales bring you comfort. Much Love and light my cherished friends, always B & W xx

Hello Chris, how are you doing? I read on the website that there were plans for a tour thru Holland in 2020; maybe in the future? Last night I was watching the dvd Ticket to the moon, live from Texel, and what a wonderful guitar parts you played, especially on the title track. Is it the same Martin guitar you played on in the seventies? Greetings, Piet Kok.

Hello Mr. Simpson I am collecting Vinylrecords since I was twelve. Ever I got the time I look arround in my Collection. So I found my Magna Carta Best Of... Lp and listen to it. After this I looked at the Wikipedia and there I found the Link to your Webside. To my Surprise I saw that you are still playing. So I use this way to wish you and your Band all the best and health in this, let me say, strange times. Merry Christmas to Magna Carta! It's almost Christmas Eve. The older and wiser I get the more I learn how much I wish I knew. I live in the country side in the state of Missouri in the beautiful Ozarks. In fact I live a few miles from the lake of the Ozarks. The Ozarks are full of streams, caves, forests, hills, bluffs, wildlife and everything else that makes a good adventure. That leads me to my purpose... sorta. Not that I really have one. I'm 48 and until 6 months ago I'd never heard of Magna Carta. I found you on Spotify. I can't get enough Magna Carta! So I googled and found that Spotify doesn't have everything available so now I have new stuff to listen to soon. I'm excited because each song is an adventure in itself! I'm just a simple country boy. I can't stand social media or the way the world is turning. I can play your songs and escape. It's relaxing, captivating, peaceful, ear candy, beautiful, professional, very talented, tales, expressions, and gosh, so much more! I'd like to say that I come from a family with some pretty talented musicians, my son being one even, but let's just say I take my music seriously. I'm not one myself but I listen a lot. Magna Carta has become one of my favorites. Thank you for a lifetime of talent and passion for my entertainment. Your music is fascinating. My step dad had a Roger Dean artwork book I remember looking at when I was 12 or 13. I remember seeing the Lord of the Ages and other artwork for Magna Carta. I was fascinated by that as well and that's how I , after all these years, finally found you. For the Gypsy is playing from the Tomorrow Never Comes album but it's 3am. and tomorrow is almost here. Or like Uriah Heep says, Today is only yesterday's tomorrow! God bless you interesting and talented folks. I bet you are good people. I would have liked to know you.
