Eddie Jackson

Eddie Jackson grew up in the shadows of York Minster experiencing church choral music and the Beatles in equal measure from a very early age. Although he completed a degree in classical music his influences are from all styles of music, so discovering the joys of bass playing is a continually evolving pleasure.

He has toured and recorded at home and abroad with various artists, including a number of years with Martyn Joseph. It is about thirty years since he last played with Magna Carta, so renewing the relationship is something he is relishing.

Most of Eddie’s playing these days is with jazz musicians working from his home town of York, and he is also partial to letting off a sousaphone in a New Orleans style band.

Eddie’s brother is Will Jackson, a former member of Magna Carta.
